Quantum Information & Entanglement Distillation Research

I am a fourth-year Computer Science major at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal. I work on the problem of making entanglement reliable enough to build real quantum networks, and on the broader question of how mathematical structure should guide algorithm design.

I am currently a Summer Research Intern at UMass Amherst with the Centre for Quantum Networks, advised by Dr. Filip Rozpedek and Dr. Stefan Krastanov. There I implement quantum convolutional codes, entanglement purification protocols, and quantum repeater simulations under realistic hardware noise in QuantumClifford.jl and QuantumSavory.jl.

In parallel, I am a research intern with Prof. Dominique Orban’s group at Polytechnique Montréal (JuliaSmoothOptimizers), translating classical smooth and non-smooth optimization problems into structured Julia formulations (JuMP, ADNLPModels) for OptimizationProblems.jl.

Earlier research includes:

  • Quantum Fisher information bounds on CP-phase sensitivity in long-baseline neutrino experiments (T2K, NOvA) with Dr. Naga Deepthi at Mahindra University
  • Hybrid quantum-inspired optimization for fidelity-constrained entanglement routing and memory scheduling, as a QWorld QIntern
