Summer Research Intern, Quantum Convolutional Codes

University of Massachusetts Amherst, Center for Quantum Networks

Advisors: Dr. Filip Rozpedek and Dr. Stefan Krastanov.

  • Quantum convolutional codes within the stabilizer formalism
  • Entanglement purification and distillation protocols using convolutional quantum codes
  • Simulation of quantum repeater protocols under realistic noisy hardware
  • Open-source tools for quantum error correction in Julia

Research Collaborator, NCL.jl

Polytechnique Montréal

NCL.jl implements a stabilized augmented-Lagrangian method that reformulates LANCELOT-style subproblems as a short sequence of nonlinearly constrained problems regularized by residual variables. This makes it reliable on large problems that violate the LICQ. I work on its interior-point subsolver integrations (IPOPT, MadNLP and Knitro) and its benchmarks.

Research Intern, JuliaSmoothOptimizers

Polytechnique Montréal

Advisor: Prof. Dominique Orban (Department of Applied Mathematics).

Translated classical optimization problems into JuMP and ADNLPModels for OptimizationProblems.jl, documented their mathematical formulations and the contributing guidelines, and added dimension-modification warnings, type corrections and tests. Contributed pull requests across the JSO ecosystem.

Teaching Assistant, Data Structures and Algorithms

IISER Bhopal

DSE255/ECS202/ECS225 under Dr. Pawan Kumar Aurora (Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science).

Research Contributor, Q-MAML for HEP at the LHC

Machine Learning for Science (ML4SCI)

Advisor: Junyong Lee (Yonsei University).

Q-MAML (Quantum Model-Agnostic Meta-Learning) uses a classical “Learner” network to predict initial parameters for variational quantum circuits. Applied to HIGGS and quark–gluon jet classification, it gave statistically significant accuracy gains over classical initialization at every qubit count tested. I am now benchmarking it on ten HEP lattice Hamiltonians, including the Schwinger model, lattice gauge theories, scalar field theory and light-nuclei EFT.

QIntern, QiOpt4QNet

QWorld

Mentors: Krishna Bhatia and Shalini Devendrababu.

Hybrid quantum-inspired optimization for fidelity-constrained entanglement routing and memory scheduling in quantum networks (project Q23, presented at the QIntern Workshop). See QiOpt4QNet-Simulator.

Summer Research Intern, Quantum Fisher Information

Mahindra University · Hyderabad

Advisor: Dr. Naga Deepthi (Department of Physics).

Quantum Fisher information bounds on CP-phase sensitivity in long-baseline neutrino experiments (T2K, NOvA), and groundwork on neutrino decoherence under scalar non-standard interactions.

LFX Mentee, Linux Kernel

The Linux Foundation

Linux Kernel Bug Fixing Mentorship with Shuah Khan. Nine patches applied upstream in the IIO subsystem and in networking (sfc), including fixes for truncated 64-bit divisions in scmi_sensors and for wrong magnetometer scales and swapped startup times in inv_mpu6050.
